Binominale

Binominale is an event consisting of artist pairs from different countries exchanging instructions in order to recreate or re-perform artworks remotely. The collaborative process is documented and displayed online while the resulting artworks are also displayed simultaneously by two partnering institutions in the artists' home countries as well as online.

The first iteration of Binominale includes two collaborations (Bruno Aeberli x Rhonda Holberton & Bertille Laguet x Sherwin Rio) and will occur at Bass & Reiner in San Francisco and La Becque in Switzerland simultaneously.

The project launches Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 11am PST and will be on view in the gallery until December 18, 2021.
