Curator Dave Dyment will present a slideshow illustrated with hundreds of images of artists’ publications, concentrating on the area where artists’ books overlap into other media.
Dave Dyment is a Toronto-based artist, writer, curator and collector, with artists’ books featuring prominently in each of these practices. Dyment is the co-editor of One For Me And One To Share: Artists’ Multiples and Editions (YYZ Books) and operates a daily blog on the subject of artists’ publications. His curatorial works have included projects by Yoko Ono, Martin Creed, Jeremy Deller, Micah Lexier, Jenny Holzer, and many others. He is the co-founder of the Nothing Else Press, which has published works by David Shrigley, Jonathan Monk, Cary Leibowitz, etc. In 2008 he was the artist in residence at the Glenfiddich Distillery in Scotland, where he produced A Drink To Us [When We’re Both Dead], a barrel of whisky buried for a hundred years but pre-sold to the consumer by the bottle.
